Gemma Dunjó

Gemma was born in Figueres (Girona) in 1975, and has always been passionate about travelling, sports, the environment and arts in general.

She holds a Bachelors Degree (98) and a Cum Laude PhD (04) on Environmental Sciences by the University of Girona and the King’s College of London (KCL), where she worked as a researcher in several projects in Costa Rica, Tunisia, Morocco and Senegal (04-07).

During her years in London (01-06), she completed the 9Point Producer Course by the New Producers Alliance (NPA); and she produced several music videos and short films. Gemma firmly believes in the great possibilities that the Internet and the digital revolution are currently offering to filmmaking, and welcomes the arrival of new entertainment consumption models (mobile, videogames, motion comics...). That is one of the reasons why in 2009, she has started together with Robert Figueras, a Cross-Media Project, which already has the support of the Digitalent Foundation.

She co-founded Filmutea in 2005, a free social network for indie film professionals, with a member base of over 33,500.

She speaks English, Catalan, Spanish and French fluently.
