Robert holds a Bachelors degree and a Master’s degree on Business Administration by ESADE (98), and early in his career, he worked in Investment Banking Corporate Finance for 4 years for the banks Merrill Lynch and ABN AMRO. In 2004 he completed the 1 year Filmmaking Program at the New York Film Academy in London, and in 2005 he completed the 9Point Producer Course by the New Producers Alliance.
During the years he was living in London (00-06) he worked in more than 50 productions, including feature films, documentaries, music videos, commercials and short films, taking several crew positions for production companies such as Partizan, Black Dog Films, Flynn Productions, @Radical.Media, Amarillo Films, Draw Pictures, Green Lions and for professionals like Michael Apted, Madonna, Linda Hamilton, Jonas Akerlun and Gary Sinyor. Likewise, he directed several projects including ‘Citizen Welles’, which won the award for best Director/Film and best Script at the Girona Film Festival in 2004; the short film ‘D.I.Y‘ for the Cobra Vision competition for ITV1 and ITV2; the making of ‘Alas Agnes‘, by the ‘Mystery Jets’; the music videos ‘Kissing‘, ‘Moving‘ and ‘Breaking in‘, and the commercial on genre violence ‘Enough‘.
He co-founded Filmutea in 2005 with Gemma Dunjó, a free social network for indie film professionals with a member base of over 33,500.
He speaks English, Spanish and Catalan fluently and understands and reads French well.
