JOSEP MARIA CARBONELL I ABELLÓ
Vice president of Digitalent Foundation

Josep Maria Carbonell, at present vice president of Digitalent Foundation and Managing Director of Cromosoma is also associate professor of Political Science in Blanquerna Communications School in Barcelona. Josep Maria Carbonell was President of the Catalan Audiovisual Council from 2006 to January 2009. Before he held the Head of the Presidential Cabinet of the Provincial Government of Barcelona (Diputació). Carbonell was a member of the Catalan Parliament from 1995 to 2004, during this period he was chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for the Supervision of the Catalan Public Broadcasting Corporation and chairman of the commission of relationships between the Institutions of Catalonia and the European Union. Carbonell was also the spokesman for the Socialist Parliamentary Group concerning cultural and audiovisual issues.


INÉS GARRIGA
Director of Digitalent Foundation
Co-director, Digitalent’s Talent Factory

Inés Garriga has always worked coordinating innovative cultural projects using new technologies. She has a Computing engineering degree (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya). She has coordinated computational linguistics projects in CLiC (Centre de Lingüística i Computació) research center. She has also worked for CIREM (Centre d’Iniciatives i Recerques Europees a la Mediterrània) as an assistant manager in Diàleg de Cultures del Treball in Barcelona Forum 2004. From 2004 to 2008 she coordinated the audiovisual cluster of i2Cat Foundation, Internet and Digital innovation in Catalonia and cultural audiovisual innovation projects related to Internet 2, experimental networks and other technologies. At present she is co-director of Talent Factory and Director of Digitalent Foundation.


XAVIER MARTÍ
Innovation manager in Digitalent Foundation
Co-director of Digitalent’s Talent Factory  

Computing engineering degree and Managing postgraduate course in 1993 in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). In 2000, Xavier also got a Creativity postgraduate course in ESADE (Barcelona). He has been working from 1993 managing several interactive projects. From 2001 to 2005 he worked for Cromosoma as a multimedia manager and after that, he became the innovation manager in Cromosoma and Digital360. In 2007 he became the person in charge of Digitalent Foundation, set up to boost digital culture within industry. At present he is also co-director of Talent Factory and innovation manager in Digitalent.


TONI MARÍN VILA
Director of International relations in Digitalent Foundation

Toni Marin Vila is in charge of International Relations for the Digitalent Foundation and Head of Development, Strategies and Communication in Cromosoma, where he has overseen the creation of scores of animated series for children since June 2005. He began his career in 1989 in the news and sports direction department in TVE where he was in charge of different tasks, such as assistant director of sports programming. During the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992, he was the production designer and quality control supervisor for RTO '92. From 1993 to 1998 Marin worked on a variety of outlets such as TV3, ETB, TVGA, Canal 9, Telemadrid, MERCURI, GSP, PMAV, Local Television Foundation of Catalonia, Blanc Frame SL and Hamlet SL. It was in 1998 that he made his transition into the world of animation and programming for children as a director and creative of animation TV series, as well as creative and executive head of Child TPH Club TVE as well as project manager in D'Ocon Film Productions. At present, he directs the Development, Strategies and Communication department in Cromosoma, where he is also the executive coproducer of Cromosoma’s projects. He is a script writer and he directs independent documentaries as well.


BELÉN SÁNCHEZ
Production in the Talent Factory

Belén Sánchez is in charge of production at the Talent Factory. She plans and coordinates the activities of the different groups of talents and their relationship with other professionals who support them. Her multidisciplinary profile –she has a degree in Philosophy and in Psichology– includes experience in both technological and social project management, acquired in the Inter-American Development Bank and knowledge from her collaboration with musicians, visual artists and multimedia creators. She has lived in different countries such as Argentina, Belgium, France and Spain, where she has been working as a cultural manager and producer.
